Penny Chic: Logo and Press Release
Penny Chic is a party planning service that works to help plan great parties at affordable prices. Above are the six initial logo designs and color schemes that were up for consideration for the company's brand and art direction. Ultimately, the first logo, titled Blue and Black, was chosen for its simple design, but is not without that little bit of whimsy and sophistication. This color scheme was also chosen because it would not call attention to itself in pamphlets and brochures; rather, it would allow photographs and graphics to do the heavy-lifting and carry the focus. The logo allows the message to be You are the focus, not Penny Chic.
PennyChic Press Release
The mighty press release: the first step in advertising, one of the key components in any successful PR campaign. This particular press release was a bit of a challenge; the goal was to create something that wasn't just informative, but which was also at least somewhat personal. The first paragraph grabs the reader's attention by reminding them of what makes a party worth throwing in the first place, before simply reminding them how very difficult throwing the perfect party can be. The rest of the press release is information about what Penny Chic does, how much it costs, and how to contact their offices.
